Wonderful

Like many reviews here, Maison De Camille is a little oasis away from the chaos and tourist spots of Ho Chi Minh city centre. This was our first time in Ho Chi Minh and booked our first half (3 nights) of our stay on this side of the city to experience bit more of local flavor and we really loved our stay at Maison De Camille. Highly recommend Maison de Camille for those that want to have bit of local experience and peace and quiet, and wouldn't mind a getting grab to get to District 1 and beyond. If you are looking for nightlife, tourist spots in walking distance then you may be better off elsewhere. We spent majority of the time whilst staying on this side of the river in Binh Thanh area meandering around and getting lost in many local alley ways, having an early morning walks along the streaming dividing this area from District 1 & 3, eating at local eateries, acquiring skills on road crossing Vietnamese style, visiting real authentic local markets. Landmark 81 with skyview observatory was just a short Grab away as well. There are also cute eateries and nice rooftops near by in the neighbourhood. Yet it is also a short (few minutes) and super cheap (less than 50,000 vnd) Grab away from more touristy District 1 to see tourist spots. Hotel was spotless, room and bed was super comfy, and with being on the top floor we also had nice view of the area both from our room and the common balcony. Ivy spoke perfect English and she helped us with our queries. It really is such a gem.

4km from the centre (grab/gojek), but great value - clean rooms, great breakfast, nice helpful staff

Nice, clean, well appointed room (big bath with loads of hot water), very helpful staff, very good breakfast. Great value for money!

The room had a sink which added a wall and made the bedroom small - it really would be better with just a bedroom and bathroom instead of wasting space, Its a bit far out of the centre, on a small kind of "scruffy" alley way. Taxi driver from the airport was dubious about the location ... he was kinda saying "REALLY? DOWN THERE?" Thats said, Gojek and Grab (Uber equivalents seemed to have no problem finding it). It is about 4km walk to the central market - we enjoy walking so we did this twice a day. Might be a bit far for some - but Grab and Gojek are dirt cheap.

Hidden Gem

The street leading to the hotel left something to be desired. However once inside I found a clean well ran establishment. Freshly cooked eggs to your liking at breakfast, and Ha on reception was always ready to greet you with a smile.

Blissful hotel

Beautifully designed hotel. It felt very personal and like a retreat in the city. The neighbourhood is super interesting with its little alleyways to explore and great views from the shared balcony over the city. Breakfast was great.

It was a really cute Boutique hotel with beautiful interiors and the room felt very nice and cosy to stay in. All the amenities provided felt curated and top-notch. The staff was amazing, especially Ha who was very kind and helpful to us.

Beautiful Boutique Saigon

Staff excellent, nothing any trouble. Lovely An at reception, really helpful and friendly. Breakfast delicious, noodle soup a delightful surprise and omelette cooked on order and lots of fresh fruit Other cooked options include chicken, beef and rice, all fresh and delicious! Lovely room with large bathroom and full size bathtub, large outdoor terrace, lounge chairs could've done with some cushions but still great space.

Memorable Stay!

I love the chic French decor. The breakfast was simplistic but sufficient in the varieties. The staff went out of their way to purchase medication for my injury foot (I accidentally stepped on a piece of metal in the hotel dining room.).

The construction was noisy during day time. Part of the hotel was dusty. Additionally, the hotel was short of staffed. (The guy that cooks soup and fry eggs was also sweeping floor in between customers. I recalled the receptionist met me when I checked in and saw him with the same outfit early the next morning.)
